MOCA Optic Nerve XI Film Festival (Event Over)

The Museum of Contemporary Art  will present Optic Nerve XI,  its annual festival of short films and videos by some of the most innovative artists in South Florida .  The 15 films, all under 5 minutes, were chosen from an open call for submissions by a jury of film and art professionals.  The films will be screened at 7 pm and again at 9 pm. They represent a variety of genres in narrative and non-linear filmmaking, from the comedic to the abstract.

Optic Nerve XI is sponsored by Starbucks Coffee Company.  The festival is part of MOCA’s ongoing effort to provide new venues for South Florida artists.  At the conclusion of the first screening, MOCA Executive Director Bonnie Clearwater will announce which one of the featured films will be purchased for the museum’s permanent collection with funds provided by Starbucks Coffee Company.
