Free Workshop -- Learn to Grow Green (Event Over)

Have you always wanted to grow your own vegetables?  Enjoy the satisfaction of picking a fresh salad from your own yard.  Did you know we don’t plant vegetables in the spring?  We have to wait until it is cool enough!  Now is the ideal time, so get started.   Come to the free workshop at Flamingo Gardens on Saturday, November 21 at 10 am to learn about soil, compost, fertilizers, irrigation, pest management, container gardening and how to plant your seeds.  

Growing your own vegetables is a great way to save money and you will soon enjoy fresh, healthy vegetables.  The Garden Shop sells both heirloom seeds and those recommended by the US Department of Agriculture especially for South Florida .
